Marty Ferguson, member and convention delegate of the Porterville Area Republican Assembly, (PARA) won a Senatorial directorship on Sunday, March 2nd at the California Republican Assembly endorsing convention - held in Buena Park, at the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel.
Mr. Ferguson, who is also PARA's representative to Congressman Devin Nunes, will have official jurisdiction over all CRA chapters, unit presidents and all CRA members at large within this district, covering the counties of Tulare, Fresno, Kings and Kern. As a new Senate District Director, Mr. Ferguson will automatically be positioned as a CRA Board Member, with additional state wide fiduciary responsibilities.
"Mr. Ferguson will bring 'Conservative Values' closer to many of California's politicians," says PARA President A. L. Lucketta and past senate district director, "by highlighting our Christian heritage and traditional family values over Sacramento's fishy-wishy wants and desires."
On March 20th PARA will be having our usual "Political Pot-Luck" where all are invited to take part in an open discussion re: political issues, politicians, endorsements and elections. Mr. Ferguson - equally well known amongst Porteville's Barn Theater cast(s) and attendees - will be in attendance to answers questions at that time as well.
PARA meets on the third Thursday of every month - 6 PM - in the Fellowship Hall of the Porterville Freewill Baptist Church, located at 91 North Prospect. For more info call 784-PARA, or go to www.pa-ra.org.
