On Thursday May 28th 2015 the Porterville Area Republican Assembly - PARA - will be hosting an open Town Hall meeting with new elected Assemblyman Devon Mathis.
Assemblyman Mathis, a long time Porterville native, will be sharing what's currently happening in Sacramento with recent legislation, especially how it relates to Porterville and Tulare County in the 26th Assembly District.
On April 14th Assemblyman Mathis' first bill (AB 144 - Illegal Dumping ) was passed in the Public Safety Committee with a 7-0 unanimous vote and was hailed a great start for the freshman Republican by many of his legislative peers.
Since this is an open Town Hall meeting, all are invited to come and participate in this assembly. Assemblyman Mathis will be answering as many questions as he can, however, if time runs short, bring copies of any concerns or issues that you have for his staff to look at and reference, with your contact information attached.
PARA meets on the fourth Thursday of the month in the Fellowship Hall of the Freewill Baptist Church, located at 91 North Prospect Ave. Meeting starts at 6PM and seating will be limited, so get their early.
